Blog Post New Entry

...Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Hello everyone!

Happy Belated Valentines Day to all!

Hopefully everyone got a nice pat on the neck and some heart shaped treats - I know all of the ponies here did - well, except for Alex - he dragged Heather halfway up the hill in the snowstorm on Wednesday, (and then took off into the woods) so all he got was some muttering about being too husky and needing to go on a diet... But not to worry, I think Taylor and Alex K slipped him some treats while her back was turned.

We had seven girls come to the first 4-H club meeting of the year on Thursday, February 4th! We will continue to attend monthly meetings, they are the first Thursday night of each month. For more information on joining, see the new 4-H club page for details!

We all had tons of fun at the barn sleep over (well, really, who got much sleep anyhow) the following Friday night on February 5. Everyone loves the sleep overs so much, we will continue to make this a regular monthly activity, continuing on the first Friday night of each month. (That way Heather can remember it...)

Our latest addition to the herd is Archie! He is a very handsome and talented paint pony who is Alex's brother from another mother - everyone who rides him will have buns of steel! He is owned and loved by Suzanne Reigel.  This is a picture of him actually cantering - I know, it's pretty amazing (O'Ryan is probably coming).

Upcoming events are the Pennsylvania Horse World Expo at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. We will be hosting a field trip to the expo on Sunday, February 28. If anyone wants to join the caravan, we will be leaving the barn at 9 AM, and will probably return by 8 PM. The expo starts on Thursday February 25 and runs through Sunday, February 28. Check out their website for more information and directions to the event:

If any of you guys have pictures of the horses from your lessons, the sleep over party, or funny snow pictures, just post them in the photo gallery section, we would love to see them.

See you at the barn,
